Reproductive Treatments in Katy Area

While Drs. Jenkins and Dr.Falae offer routine services in Katy, there may come a time when reproductive treatments are necessary to restore your health

Endometriosis

This condition, in which tissue that normally lines the uterus grows somewhere else, tops the CDC’s list of “common reproductive health concerns for women.” While there may be heavy bleeding, some women don’t realize they have a problem until they can’t get pregnant. Hormonal therapies relieve heavy or long periods and shrink the build-up of endometrial tissue. Conservative surgeries using laparoscopy remove tissue while preserving the uterus and ovaries.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Infertility is also a symptom of this common endocrine system disorder, which arises when ovaries or adrenal glands make too many male hormones. PCOS is associated with several complications, from high blood pressure to Type 2 diabetes. With an accurate diagnosis in hand, the doctors may recommend a low-calorie diet, moderate exercise, and medications that regulate your menstrual cycle and help you ovulate if you’re trying to become pregnant.

Gynecologic cancer

The importance of extensive, specialized training and diagnostics can’t be overstated, because cancers like those affecting the ovaries often mimic other less serious conditions like irritable bowel disorders. When discovered early, most cases can be easily cured. Due to these vague symptoms and the high incidence of misdiagnoses, it’s estimated that up to 70 percent of these cases are detected in their advanced stages so, while ovarian cancer is rare, it is deadlier than other gynecological cancers, including those affecting the cervix, uterus, vagina, and vulva. As with other types of cancers, treatment depends on the type of cancer and how far it has spread.

Drs. Jenkins and Dr.Falae and their team are with you in good times and bad, during challenges and joys. Call 855 346 8610 to schedule your next appointment.

Dr. Jenkins is a kind, professional and a Dr. Whom actually listens to his patients. He makes you laugh which makes you comftorable in the situation. He had my sons best interest at heart when I was in labor at 33 weeks. I'm a stuborn woman and did not want to be in the hospital on mothers day. I wanted to travel an hour away and yet, he stood his ground and did what's best. I'm truly grateful for the wonderdul care he provided and if I ever am with child again, Dr. Jenkins will be my choice again.
