As the largest city in the second most populous state in the country, Houston-area residents have access to world-class services, including (and especially) health care. Dr. Taryll L. Jenkins is affiliated with both Memorial Hermann and the Methodist Hospital systems. Dr. Jenkins and fellow physicians, Drs. Roy, Ramirez and Ikwuagwu are all specialists board-certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. When selecting Jenkins Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine as your Gynecologist Clinic in Katy, Texas, you have peace of mind. Your health is in great hands, thanks to our specialists’ extensive expertise across a wide array of gynecological conditions, diagnostics, and treatments.
We also appreciate that gynecologists are allowed entry into some of the most private aspects of your life, those areas that aren’t typically discussed in an open setting, or that may even be embarrassing to you. Sometimes, that insecurity or embarrassment can stand in the way of your getting the prompt care to relieve chronic pain, and to lead your fullest life! We are honored that you trust our compassionate OBGYNs and staff, and feel comfortable enough with us to speak candidly about your concerns and needs.
As a branch of medicine, gynecology focuses on the prevention, management, and treatment of diseases and conditions affecting a woman’s reproductive system. So, these problems can apply to the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, breasts, and many other organs and structures. For almost every woman, at some point or another, she will experience a gynecological problem. Fortunately, these problems, while potentially distressing, are often easy to manage with appropriate guidance and care from professionals such as Drs Jenkins, Roy, Ramirez and Ikwuagwu; however, there are many disorders that can have devastating consequences on a woman’s ability to have children, and to enjoy many happy, healthy years. So, it is crucial that you visit Jenkins Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine at least annually for well women visits and exams. We can detect potentially serious illnesses early in the disease process when they are easiest to treat successfully.
Some of the most common gynecological problems that our specialists treat include:
If you notice anything different in terms of the regularity of periods, and the amount of menstrual bleeding, it is important to consult with one of our doctors right away. Don’t wait until your next scheduled exam. Also, resist the temptation to ignore your symptoms or to “learn to live with them.” Mild symptoms can often be treated; however, more serious symptoms can lead to problems such as infertility. Symptoms can also be indicative of cervical, ovarian, endometrial, and other gynecological cancers.
We appreciate that every patient is different and unique. You are not your symptoms. You defy categorizations and lists of common conditions. We don’t treat you like you’re just another appointment, or like you’re just the problem that leads to your reaching out to us. We look forward to getting to know you and to help you through all of life’s ups and downs. Call 855-346-8610 to schedule your visit with Drs Jenkins, Roy, Ramirez and Ikwuagwu at the Katy, TX office of Jenkins Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine.
